My favourite stars in the folk business are Aly Bain, Phil Cunningham, Eddie Reader and La Bouttine Sourriante as well as many more like Fiddler’s Bid. I also like pop music like Kelly Rowland, Justin Timberlake and Black Eyed Peas. I started playing the keyboard when I was 5 and stopped for a few months when I was 6 or 7. Then after wanting to play the fiddle for a while, I decided to keep on at the keyboard. After all that, I started playing in a trio with Kirsty and Fiona- as the “Johnson sister’s”. Now we are all playing together it is much more fun, and we all try out lots of different things.

My influences are Catriona McKay (Fiddler’s Bid) because she is a good, experienced player, and is a good friend of the bands. I love Elton John’s piano playing and all the songs he has done in past and present years of my life.
