Hi guys! I’m Fi

and I play fiddle, guitar, whistles and do a wee bit step dance in the band. I started playing the fiddle when I was about 5 but have only been playing the other instruments for about a year. I love loads of different types of music including Justin Timberlake, Phil and Aly, Fiddler’s Bid, La Boutinne Souriantte, Natalie McMaster, Travis, Oasis, Coldplay….the list goes on!!!

Some of my favourite fiddle players are Aly Bain, Chris Stout, Natalie McMaster and John McCusker, as well as the likes of Willie Hunter and Brian Gear from Shetland.

As well as playing with GiveWay I have played with a few other people including Gary Coupland, KODA and Ian MacPhail’s SDB.

My current fiddle teacher is Mairi Campbell, who I’ve been going to for about a year now. She has introduced me to a new style of playing as well as a bit of Step dance, which has been great fun.

I like music, drama, art, sport, animals, being daft, and having a laugh with pals.

This year I am hoping to go to the RSAMD music college in Glasgow, to do a BA in Scottish music.
